A special feature of this book is that it's Spiral Bound so you can lay it flat on a copier to copy pages out of it. I encourage you to make copies of important pages and pass them around to Introduce the idea of computers in CE and to Train your teachers.

BACKGROUND ON THE BOOK:

My original book, Computers, Kids and Christian Education, was published by Augsburg Fortress in February 1997 and revised in 2001. It has been purchased by churches, teachers, resource centers, bookstores and conferences across the theological spectrum. It was the only comprehensive book on the subject. The original book was based on my seminar handouts and presentations dating back to 1993.

In 2006 I completely rewrote that book from scratch and re-titled it. I added many updates and including a lot more training and lesson planning helps.  I've revised and updated the book every year since.

The new Edition is self-published for several reasons:

1. It allows me to update the content on a regular basis. That's the BIGGEST benefit. Publishers want to print thousands of copies to save money and only let you update a book when they run out. But I always wanted to add new ideas, refine old ones, and update the software and hardware content. Publishing it myself let's me do that.

2. We can publish it in the spiral bound format so that it can lay flat on a copier and you can copy key pages to give to your volunteers.

3. I can tell you to "go ahead and copy what you need out of the book for training purposes, -without ticking off the publisher because now I'm the publisher!

4. I can offer it on sale from time to time.
