The following slideshows show you many of the menu screens in Life of Christ CD. The CD has various types of content, which you can access through a number of different menu types.
Why so many menus?
LoC CD’s menus organize the CD’s content in several different ways.
For example, to cherry-pick just the “Jesus’ Last Two Days in Jerusalem” interactive map, you could find it by clicking the Globe and accessing the geography menu in the Professor’s office, -or- wait to get to it during your narrated lesson about Palm Sunday, -or- click the “interactive maps” link on the Professor’s bookshelf.
For example, you could view the Jerusalem Temple video at any time by going into the Professor’s multimedia drawer, -or- you could locate its link in the Geography Menu, or in the lesson about Jesus in the Temple.
The “main” attraction in LoC CD is its 40 lessons that walk through the Life of Jesus.
Those 40 lesson are presented in three different ways as well:
(1) As narrated slideshows (followed by a question and quiz). These are the presentations teachers often show to their students. SEE IMAGE BELOW.
(2) As narrated texts you can listen to as you read along. SEE IMAGE BELOW.
These text screens are full of icons that link to much of the media and study material found in the CD. This is for more self-guided, self-disciplined tour.
(3) As a “game” through the 40 lessons. This “game” keeps track of which lessons you’ve watched, and how well you did answering the quizzes as the end of each lesson. If you get 5 or 6 of the six questions correct, you receive a “code” which will help you unlock the mystery treasure chests on the Professor’s bookshelf. Certificates are awarded as you progress, on your way to becoming a Master Bible Explorer.
(I have always realized that at this point in the description, you really need to SEE the life of Christ CD to believe it.)
“But wait…there’s more!”
LoC CD also has a number of memory aids, books of the Bible overviews and ordering games, timelines, and Bible Fact Quizzes.
Here are some screenshots of just a few of these “extras” tucked into the Professor’s Bookshelf…
